OR Rad Technologist, (Full-Time)

Responsibilities

• Explaining procedures to patients
• Operating imaging equipment accurately
• Reviewing images to ensure they are suitable for interpretation
• Validating patient identification before performing any diagnostic x-ray procedure
• Communicating with patient to obtain medical history and/or specific medical information
• Validating working conditions and technical factors of imaging equipment and procedure room
• Assuming responsibility for patient care during the imaging procedure
• Collimating, positioning patients, and practicing radiation safety
• Critiquing images for image quality
• Participating in Quality Control/Quality Assurance programs
• Establishing and maintaining a good rapport with colleagues
• Learning and assisting in other areas as needed
• Participating in standby call as needed

Requirements

• Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• TMB (state license)
• BLS required
• Experience in OR operating C-Arm, extensive spine and ortho experience necessary
