About the Role
The Manager Patient Services reports to Nursing leadership, overseeing a key nursing function or multiple smaller units to support hospital operations. They manage personnel, including Clinical Managers and nursing supervisors, ensuring efficient delivery of patient care and departmental performance.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate processes related to performance improvement, staffing, fiscal management, staff competency, and customer service outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and communicate them effectively across units.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to meet department and hospital objectives.
- Develop, revise, and monitor departmental policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Participate in personnel actions, including hiring, disciplinary measures, and performance appraisals.
- Develop and monitor budgets, set goals, and assess performance to support department growth.
- Model customer service excellence and foster an ethical, compliant work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s preferred.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan.
- Minimum of three years of progressive nursing experience.
