OR Charge Poster
About the role
As our OR Charge Poster, you will organize, collect, verify, and perform the submission of surgical services charges through electronic medical records for submission to the patient bill. You will help manage inventory related to picking, replenishing, and requisitioning of products and high‑value goods, monitor and assure inventory levels meet demand, track usage, and set inventory levels for specific groups of products in support of PAR and perpetual locations. Success in this role requires being detail‑oriented, report‑driven, and able to work independently to ensure patient charges are submitted accurately.
Responsibilities
- Accurately gather and record information needed for timely submission of patient charges.
- Notify team leads/OR Manager of discrepancies that may occur in charge capture for correction as needed.
- Ensure equipment and supplies used throughout the perioperative patient encounter are captured in the EMR.
- Research, review, and capture billable items throughout the Surgical Services patient experience.
- Manage oversight of tissue tracking, including checking in products, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and validating the charges are posted to the patient EMR.
- Monitor PAR levels of specialty items to assure appropriate levels are established so patient care is not impacted.
- Work in collaboration with reprocessing resources, leadership, and buyers to optimize usage of reprocessed products; act as a liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management.
- Manage approved inventory and process bills (RFPs).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Stays on tasks and meets deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain and EMR platforms.
- Ability to possess and present data clearly.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior healthcare administrative experience.

Pay
$15.67 – $22.13 per hour
