OPWDD Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor - Leave Replacement

Responsibilities
- Ensure all individuals at their site(s) receive comprehensive and quality medical care.
- Ensure all staff at their site(s) are thoroughly trained on all medical topics.
- Coordinate medical services.
- Assess patient's health status and develop individualized plans of nursing services.
- Monitor and document patient's condition and response to medications and treatments.
- Initial certification/annual recertification of Approved Medication Assistive Personnel.
- Educate staff, individuals, and their families about health maintenance and prevention.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid NYS RN license
- Experience with ID/DD preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Valid NYS driver's license
- Ability to perform physical activities such as twisting, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing
- Ability to sit, walk, drive, and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
New graduates are welcome. On-call is required for this position (via telephone, not in person). A stipend is available for working with a larger caseload.
