OPWDD Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all individuals at your site(s) receive comprehensive and quality medical care.
  • Ensure all staff at your site(s) are thoroughly trained on all medical topics.
  • Coordinate medical services.
  • Assess patient’s health status and develop individualized plans of nursing services.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Monitor and document patient’s condition and response to medications and treatments.
  • Initial certification/annual recertification of Approved Medication Assistive Personnel.
  • Educate staff, individuals, and their families about health maintenance and prevention.

Requirements

  • Valid NYS RN license.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License.
  • Able to sit, stand, lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay

An employee's salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.

Schedule

This position requires on-call availability via telephone, with a stipend available for larger caseloads.
