About the role
Brandywine Eye Center is seeking an optometrist to perform routine eye exams and provide excellent eye care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing vision tests
- Identifying sight problems
- Prescribing eyeglasses
- Performing comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnostics and treatment of ocular disease
- Prescribing corrective lenses
- Providing pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
- Maintaining detailed patient records
- Promoting healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Handling eyecare emergencies
Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid state license to practice optometry - can help with externship if needed
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
