Optometrist (Vision Plus) - Vero Beach, FL

About the role

Vision Plus is seeking an Optometrist to join a respected private practice in Vero Beach, Florida. The practice, established in 2000, is known for personalized eye care, innovative services, and a supportive, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye exams and fit a wide range of contact lenses, including disposable, gas permeable, scleral, and hybrid lenses.
• Care for a diverse patient base in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.
• Deliver accurate diagnoses and tailored solutions with confidence using advanced technology such as a Topographer, Optomap, Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer, Tonoref II, and Topcon Maestro.
• Support a team of 16 full-time employees, many of whom have been with the practice for over a decade.
• Work in a growing practice with plans to expand lab capabilities by adding AR.

Requirements

• Optometry license in the state of Florida.
• At least five years of experience in a corporate or independent practice setting.
• Strong clinical confidence and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
• A personable, compassionate, and detail-oriented approach to building long-term patient relationships.
• Experience fitting scleral and gas permeable contact lenses.

Qualifications

• Preferably a minimum of 5 years experience in either corporate or independent practice.
• Specialty contact lens fitting preferred.

Pay

Schedule

With each doctor typically seeing 15 to 20 exams per day, the role offers a balanced pace that supports both clinical excellence and meaningful patient relationships.
