Optometrist or Ophthalmologist

About the role

We are seeking an OPTOMETRIST (Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) or Ophthalmologist) to join our team. This position offers a competitive salary and sign-on bonus, along with relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision services to pediatric and adult patients on a mobile unit, either in person or virtually.
• Conduct vision screenings and services on the mobile unit at schools and established Kintegra Family Medicine and Senior TLC locations.
• Participate in the Vision Access Program (VAP), which provides vision services to children with vision impairment.
• Utilize state-of-the-art optometry equipment on the mobile unit.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree or equivalent Ophthalmology degree.
• A current and unrestricted license to practice optometry in North Carolina.
• Experience in providing vision services to both pediatric and adult patients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience working with children and families.
• Knowledge of pediatric eye care and developmental vision.
• Experience with telehealth services.
