About the role
We are seeking an OPTOMETRIST (Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) or Ophthalmologist) to join our team. This position offers a competitive salary and sign-on bonus, along with relocation assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide vision services to pediatric and adult patients on a mobile unit, either in person or virtually.
- Conduct vision screenings and services on the mobile unit at schools and established Kintegra Family Medicine and Senior TLC locations.
- Participate in the Vision Access Program (VAP), which provides vision services to children with vision impairment.
- Utilize state-of-the-art optometry equipment on the mobile unit.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree or equivalent Ophthalmology degree.
- A current and unrestricted license to practice optometry in North Carolina.
- Experience in providing vision services to both pediatric and adult patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working with children and families.
- Knowledge of pediatric eye care and developmental vision.
- Experience with telehealth services.
Skills
Essential skills for this role include:
- Strong clinical skills in optometry.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
