About the role

This part-time Optometrist (OD) position is performed in a traditional, full-scope office environment and may require local travel within MyEyeDr. regions on the same day. You will practice general and medical optometry with a consistent patient base at a comfortable pace, prioritizing quality patient care. Every MyEyeDr. practice is equipped with the latest vision care technology and a wide selection of quality eyewear.

The Optometrist evaluates patients’ vision and health care needs, documents findings, and consults with patients regarding their individualized vision care. You will collaborate closely with the office team to provide compassionate, personalized, and memorable patient experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients’ vision and health care needs using commonly accepted practices, tools, and techniques.
  • Document findings in patient records.
  • Consult with patients about the current status and future requirements of their vision care.
  • Collaborate with the office team to deliver compassionate, high-quality, and personalized patient care.
  • Ensure every patient visit is memorable and meets the highest standards of neighborhood eye care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree from an accredited institution.
  • License in good standing to practice Optometry in the state of employment (required prior to starting).
  • National Provider Identification (NPI) required.
  • TPA License required.
  • Prior clinical optometry experience in a retail, educational, or medical office setting is a plus, but all are welcome to apply.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, utilize necessary equipment, and move about the office.
