Optometrist (OD) Position Details
- Performed in a traditional, full-scope office environment
- May require local travel, on a same-day basis, within MyEyeDr. regions
- Opportunity to practice general and medical optometry with a consistent patient base and at a comfortable pace
- Equipped with the latest in vision care technology and stocked with a wide selection of quality eyewear
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree from an accredited institution required
- Licenses in good standing to practice Optometry in the state required
- National Provider Identification (NPI) required
- TPA License required
- Prior clinical optometry experience in a retail, educational, or medical office setting a plus
Education and Experience
- Ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and move about the office
- Evaluate patient's vision and health care needs, document findings in patient records, and consult with patients regarding their individualized vision care needs
- Work in close collaboration with the office team to provide compassionate care that ensures all patient visits are personalized, memorable, and the best patient experience possible
- Personable, driven by patient focus and needs, and have a passion for providing the best neighborhood eye care experience for each and every patient
Wage Range
- Virginia counties of Arlington, Alexandria City, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Manassas City, Stafford, Fauquier, Clarke, Culpepper, and Spotsylvania: $147,000.00 to $189,000.00 annually, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary)
- All other counties in Virginia: $140,000.00 to $180,000.00 annually, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary)
