About the role

Located in Longview, Washington, this is a full‑time sublease opportunity for an entrepreneurial‑minded Optometrist to help launch and manage a new practice. The lease is expected to begin later this year, with the location anticipated to open between mid‑December and mid‑January, so the opportunity is available ASAP. In this arrangement you’ll provide comprehensive vision care while managing your own practice, serving as the sublease holder and leading day‑to‑day operations. While the preferred arrangement is a full‑time sublease, employment may be considered if a sublease holder is not identified. Longview offers a scenic Pacific Northwest setting along the Columbia and Cowlitz rivers, with easy access to forests, trails, waterways, and outdoor recreation, a welcoming community‑oriented feel, and convenient access to larger regional hubs such as Portland, Vancouver, and Olympia.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive vision care, including primary eye exams and contact lens fittings.
• Sell contact lenses and manage optical inventory.
• Hire and supervise staff (typically starting with one team member).
• Oversee day‑to‑day practice operations and manage the sublease.
• Utilize medical billing support and shape the patient experience.
• Grow the practice over time while maintaining exam‑based care.

Requirements

• Active Washington optometry license.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for delivering quality, personalized eye care.
• Ability to practice independently and manage the full scope of optometric care in a sublease setting.
• Confidence in leading a practice and building a team from the ground up.
