About the role

Hunt and Shaw, nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains, is seeking an exceptional Optometrist to join the team. Both practice owners are preparing for retirement, offering an excellent opportunity to be part of an established business with a loyal patient base and supportive staff.

Responsibilities

  • Practice comprehensive optometry, providing a wide range of services for patients across all age groups and with diverse visual and medical needs.
  • Perform routine contact lens and medical eye exams.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic technology to deliver personalized care.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team of dedicated professionals to ensure each patient receives compassionate and efficient care.
  • Offer flexibility with one to three full days per week, averaging about 10 exams and 3 to 4 additional office visits daily.

Requirements

  • Optometry license in the state of California.
  • Membership in the California Optometric Association (COA).
  • Excellent refraction skills and ability to manage a wide variety of patients across all age groups.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding eye care and enhancing the vision health of the community.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
