About the role

Family Vision of Anderson, located in Anderson, South Carolina, is seeking an Associate Optometrist to join the practice in summer 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or experienced Optometrist looking to step into independent private practice, deliver high-quality patient care, and build a long-term career in a well-established South Carolina practice known for personalized service and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye exams and medical office visits while exercising professional clinical judgment within the scope of state law.
• Work with advanced diagnostic technology, including the Oculus Keratograph 5M, Zeiss and Optovue OCT, Eidon wide-angle camera with autofluorescence, EyeRes anterior segment camera, TearLab, RetEval ERG, virtual visual fields, and low-level red light therapy.
• Offer a full-time, 40-hour schedule with a template of 20 appointments per day, including 13 comprehensive exams and seven office visits.

Requirements

• Holds a Doctor of Optometry degree.
• Licensed to practice in South Carolina.
• Can provide three professional references.

• Expertise to prescribe spectacles and contact lenses for optimal vision outcomes while ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing for medical optometry.
