About the role

The Associate Optometrist leads the organization in delivering the brand promise and key results through collaboration and teamwork. This role ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care, maximizes practice growth, and serves as a brand ambassador both inside and outside the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the MOD and store team.

• Prioritize patient/customer needs and deliver excellent service.

• Convey a commitment to unsurpassed patient service by ensuring staff follows service process steps, including:
  • Addressing patients' visual lifestyle needs.
  • Making eyewear recommendations based on patients' needs.
  • Explaining each step of the eye exam and listening carefully to patients.
  • Using tools and visual aids to summarize and ensure understanding of vision, eye health, and overall well-being.
  • Communicating the need for annual eye exams and scheduling follow-ups.
• Conduct all services in accordance with protocol and accepted standards of care.
• Ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommendations for all patients.
• Establish a positive doctor/patient relationship.
• Utilize all technology effectively to deliver unsurpassed patient experiences.
• Maintain office systems and ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain state licensure in good standing and practice to the full scope of that license, including continuing education requirements.
• Provide effective training and guidance to team members using company-provided programs.
• Deliver clear, motivating, and constructive feedback in a timely manner.
• Create a positive culture aligned with corporate values, identifying individual motivators and directing conversations appropriately.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry degree.
• Commitment to quality patient care.
• Knowledge of current optometric theory and technology.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Solid organizational skills.

Pay

Pay range: $57.04 - $79.96 per hour. Employee pay is determined by factors including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. A competitive bonus and/or commission plan may complement the total rewards package.
