As an Associate Optometrist, you will deliver the brand promise, ensure high-quality optometric care, and drive practice growth through collaboration with the MOD, SMM, and store team. Responsibilities

  • Ensure executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the MOD and store team.
  • Demonstrate commitment to exceeding results through strong competency in KPI management and high accountability.
  • Position the brand as the leading optical provider within the community.
  • Serve as a successful stakeholder to all leaders within the organization and local market.
  • Prioritize patient/customer needs and deliver excellent service.
  • Exceed expectations on all KPIs.
  • Convey a commitment to unsurpassed patient service by ensuring staff follows these steps:
    • Address all patients/customers' visual lifestyle needs.
    • Make eyewear recommendations based on patients/customers’ needs.
    • Explain each step of the eye exam and listen carefully to patients/customers.
    • Utilize available tools and visual aids to summarize and ensure patients understand their vision, eye health, and overall well-being.
    • Communicate the need for annual eye exams and ensure patients are scheduled for their next appointment.
  • Conduct all services in accordance with protocol and accepted standards of care.
  • Ensure all patients receive accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations.
  • Establish a positive doctor/patient relationship.
  • Effectively utilize all technology to deliver unsurpassed patient/customer experiences.
  • Maintain office systems and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain state licensure in good standing and practice to the full scope of that license, including continuing education requirements.
  • Provide effective training and guidance to team members using company-provided programs.
  • Deliver clear, motivating, and constructive feedback in a timely manner.
  • Create a positive culture aligned with corporate values, identifying individual motivators and directing conversations appropriately.
  • Encourage associate decision-making at the level closest to the patient.
  • Maximize partnerships through leadership, participation, and involvement.
  • Maintain pride in the appearance of the office.
  • Lead by example.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry degree.
  • Commitment to quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of current optometric theory and technology.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Solid organizational skills.
