About the role
The Associate Optometrist is a leader in the organization, delivering the brand promise and driving key results through collaboration and teamwork. This role ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care while maximizing practice growth through strong partnerships with the Store Manager, store team, and Regional Manager. The Associate Optometrist serves as a leading ambassador of the brand, driven by passion and high standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the Store Manager and store team.

- Promote the brand as the leading optical provider within the community.
- Operate as a successful stakeholder to all leaders within the organization and local market.
- Prioritize the patient/customer and deliver excellent service.
- Strive to exceed expectations on all KPIs.
- Convey a commitment to providing unsurpassed patient service by ensuring staff performs service process steps, including:
- Addressing all patients/customers' visual lifestyle needs.
- Making eyewear recommendations based on patients/customers’ needs.
- Explaining each step of the eye exam and listening carefully to patients/customers.
- Utilizing available tools and visual aids to summarize and ensure patients understand their vision, eye health, and overall well-being.
- Communicating effectively the need for annual eye exams and ensuring patients are appointed for their next exam.
- Conduct all services in accordance with protocol and accepted standards of care.
- Ensure all patients receive accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommendations.
- Establish a positive doctor/patient relationship.
- Utilize and leverage all technology to deliver unsurpassed patient/customer experiences.
- Ensure office systems are maintained.
- Maintain State Licensure in good standing and practice to the full scope of that license; responsible for maintaining Continuing Education requirements.
- Provide effective training and guidance to team members using company-provided programs.
- Deliver clear, motivating, and constructive feedback in a timely manner to all associates.
- Create a positive culture linked to the corporate culture; identify what motivates each individual and direct conversations and actions appropriately.
- Encourage associate decision-making at the level closest to the patient.
- Maximize partnerships through leadership, participation, and involvement.

Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry degree.
- Commitment to quality patient care.
- Knowledge of current optometric theory and technology.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Solid organizational skills.
Pay
Pay range: $59.75 - $83.77 per hour. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
