Responsibilities
- Deliver the brand promise and key results through collaboration and teamwork, ensuring all patients receive the highest quality Optometric care.
- Partner with the Market Optometry Director (MOD), Store Market Manager (SMM), and team to maximize practice growth.
- Support medical practice, referral care, and pre/post-op surgical support (if applicable).
- Ensure executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the MOD and store team, demonstrating strong competency in KPI management and accountability.
- Establish LensCrafters as a recognized medical eyecare provider within the community.
- Operate as a successful stakeholder to all leaders within the organization and local market.
- Prioritize patient/customer needs and deliver excellent service, exceeding expectations on all KPIs.
- Convey a commitment to unsurpassed patient service by ensuring staff:
- Make eyewear recommendations based on patients’ needs.
- Explain each step of the eye exam and listen carefully to patients.
- Use available tools and visual aids to ensure patients understand their vision, eye health, and overall well-being.
- Communicate the need for annual eye exams and ensure patients are scheduled for their next visit.
- Address all patient visual lifestyle needs, including medical and surgical recommendations (if applicable).
- Conduct services in line with protocol and standards of care, establishing positive doctor/patient relationships.
- Ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommendations for all patients.
- Utilize all technology effectively to deliver unsurpassed patient experiences.
- Maintain state licensure in good standing, practicing to the full scope of the license and fulfilling continuing education requirements.
- Provide effective training and guidance to team members using company-provided programs.
- Deliver clear, motivating, and constructive feedback in a timely manner.
- Create a positive culture aligned with corporate values, identifying individual motivations and directing conversations accordingly.
- Encourage associate decision-making at the level closest to the patient.
- Maximize partnerships through leadership, participation, and involvement.
- Maintain pride in the appearance of the office and a safe working environment for all associates and patients.
- Lead by example.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry degree.
- Commitment to quality patient care.
- Knowledge of medical optometry, including billing and coding.
- Knowledge of surgical care and practices pertaining to optometry.
- Familiarity with current optometric theory and technology.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Solid organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Residency training.
- Medical care experience.
- Advanced knowledge of surgical care and practices pertaining to optometry.
Pay
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. A competitive bonus and/or commission plan may complement the base salary.
