Optometrist - Chesapeake, VA

About the role

Join a fast-paced, high-volume optometric practice (busy ODs see more than 25 patients per day) with a full dedicated team of work-up technicians and diagnostic support.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care services including vision exams, prescription refills, and treatment of various eye conditions.
• Collaborate with an ophthalmologist and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Participate in continuing education to stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry.

Requirements

• A Doctor of Optometry degree from an AOA accredited program.
• A current Virginia State License to practice optometry.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in an optometric setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills and a passion for patient care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills

• Knowledge of optical equipment and technologies.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
