About the role

Serving the residents of St. Johnsbury, VT, Swift Optometry provides comprehensive eye care services directly to the bedside of seniors in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. Our team includes expert optometrists who offer a range of services including comprehensive eye exams, ocular disease management, vision correction, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts
• Conduct dilated exams
• Provide diabetic evaluations
• Treatment of infection and injury
• Repair and equip patients with eyeglasses
• Diagnose and treat ocular disease
• Work comfortably with the geriatric population

Requirements

• OD license
• DEA License
• Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/work on feet up to 6-8 hours per day
