Responsibilities

  • Congduct comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages
  • Diagnose and manage ocular diseases using advanced diagnostic equipment
  • educate patients on proper eye care, treatment options, and preventative measures
  • Prescribe and fit contact lenses and eyeglasses
  • Build long-term patient relationships through excellent care and communication
  • Collaborate with a team of optometrists and support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care
  • Utilize electronic health records (EHR) to accurately document exams and treatment plans
  • Stay up to date on advancements in optical knowledge and participate in continuing education
  • Contribute to the positive culture and growth of the practice through excellent patient service and teamwork

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry degree from an AOA accredited program
  • Current license to practice optometry in the state of Maine
  • Experience in full-scope medical optometry preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Up to $50,000 sign-on and Loan Repayment bonus
