About the role

An optometrist in this mobile position provides comprehensive eye exams and prescribes corrective devices to students in underserved communities, supporting vision health and learning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vision evaluations, including visual acuity, binocular vision, intraocular pressure, pupils, refraction, and ocular health assessments.
• Prescribe and test appropriate vision devices, instruct patients on their use, and document diagnoses accurately.
• Travel throughout designated areas to serve various schools and community sites.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice optometry in Delaware.
• Flexible to commute across different locations.
• Pass a Department of Justice background check and drug test.
• Proven experience in patient care with a proactive and compassionate approach.
• Doctorate degree in optometry required.
