About the role
Boston Vision is a multi-specialty private Ophthalmology practice, at the vanguard of eye care and patient service. Since founding Boston Vision in 2000, we have relentlessly pursued both improvement in patient experience and innovation in academic medicine.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine eye exams
- Evaluate potential Lasik and Cataract candidates
- Skillfully fit both soft and specialty contact lenses
- Document all diagnosis and/or treatment plans
- Perform minor surgical procedures as needed
- Provide postoperative care to patients who have had eye surgery
Requirements
- Must hold a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Must hold a valid, Massachusetts state issued license of Optometry
Qualifications
- Preferred Bi-lingual Spanish speaking skills
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven extensive knowledge of promoting eye-health, diagnosing eye-related conditions
- Positive and professional team player
Additional Information
Boston Vision currently has 7 locations in the Metro-Boston area. We ask our team members to be open to traveling to other locations as the business demands.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work vary according to the business demands. This position may be asked to practice at several Boston Vision locations.
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional medical office environment routinely using standard office and clinical equipment such as computers, telephones and testing equipment.
