Optometrist

About the role

The optometrist at Acuity Eyecare group will conduct comprehensive eye exams, establish long-term patient relationships, and diagnose and treat various eye conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and diagnose sight problems
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgeries
• Evaluate patients for eye diseases and refer to other healthcare providers
• Communicate with patients about eye health and proper lens selection
• Support staff in recap discussions and build patient loyalty

Requirements

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution
• Pass all optometric state boards

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate and exchange information
• Must be able to use necessary office equipment
• Must be able to move around the office

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of eye care and treatment options
• Ability to diagnose and treat eye conditions
