Schedule

Full Time. Our offices are open Monday-Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday 8am-4pm (daily hours vary by location). You may need to work a little earlier and/or later as needed. You will not work all of these hours, but you must have open availability to work any shift within these hours, including weekends, schedule changes, or an extended schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate patient flow
  • Assist the doctor in preliminary testing
  • Verify medical and vision insurances
  • Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
  • Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests
  • Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
  • Practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient’s time, as well as the doctor’s time and schedule
  • Operate manual lensometer, auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT
  • Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity, etc.)
  • Clean all examination equipment including tonometer tip
  • Interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times
  • Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager
  • Consistently create a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused

Requirements

  • Previous medical office experience preferred; previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Favorable result on background check as required by state
  • Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or GED required

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Location

Work is primarily performed in a standard office or clinical setting in Casa Grande, AZ. However, travel to other locations may be required to carry out essential job duties and responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions:

  • Frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%)
  • Regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%)
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
  • Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands for constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology
  • Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—required 100% of the time
  • Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary
