Responsibilities

Aids in the assembly, alignment, and testing of optical and mechanical components used in devices such as lasers, imaging systems, and other optical instruments.

Ensures the proper functioning and calibration of optical systems.

May collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues, document procedures, and contribute to the overall manufacturing and quality control processes.

Requirements

Associates degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and 1 year or equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical position required.

Obtainment of Security Clearance required upon hire.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills suitable for working in a team-based environment preferred
  • Darkroom/film development experience preferred
  • Experience with automated photographic film processors and/or image plate scanners preferred
  • Experience with chemistry operations preferred
  • Experience with radiological materials preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn additional software preferred

Pay

Compensation Range: $23.06 - $32.29

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Schedule

Morning and Evening shift work is required.
