Optician, Eye Care

About the role

Park Nicollet is seeking an Optician to join their Eye Care team. The position is available as a Partner for Good, aiming to enhance patient and family care experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with frame and lens selection based on lifestyle needs and prescription analysis.
• Conduct measurements and evaluate patients' needs to ensure proper eyewear selection.
• Fit and adjust eyewear to patients and customers for optimal visual efficiency.
• Demonstrate competency in customer service and sales according to Park Nicollet standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the Optical department and other Park Nicollet Clinic teams.

Requirements

• Three or more years of related experience.
• American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification on hire or within 3 years from date of hire.
• Knowledge of basic optics and traditional opticianry practices.
• Effective verbal communication, human relations, and sales skills.
• Understanding of age-related growth and development principles.
• Proficiency in operating POS computer, telephone, personal computer, printer, photocopier, and fax machine.

Preferred Qualifications

• American Board of Opticianry certification.
