Wound Care Clinician

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with acute and/or chronic wounds, ostomy management and education, and fistulae, tubes, skin, and incontinence issues.
• Work in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary staff to evaluate, propose, plan, and perform patient assessments and treatments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school in Nursing, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy.
• Required: Bachelor’s Degree.
• PREFERRED: Additional work experience in wound/ostomy care and management.
• PREFERRED: Experience in research, data analysis, and editing collateral materials.
• Required: BCLS - Basic Life Support certification.
• Required: RN - Registered Nurse license in Georgia.
• PREFERRED: Multistate licensure or NLC/eNCL certification for PT or OT.
• Required: RN or PT or OT Registered license in Georgia.
• PREFERRED: Maintenance of CEUs as required by the state.
• PREFERRED: Certification as a CWS - Certified Wound Specialist or CWOCN - Certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse.
