Optical Retail and Optical Lab Tech Positions Available in Des Moines Area

About the role

Eyemart Express is a leading optical company with over 200 stores across the nation. We are currently seeking candidates for various full-time and part-time positions in our optical retail and lab departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and lens coatings that best suit their needs.
• Ensure lab technicians have accurate measurements and prescription information for grinding, coating, and fitting lenses to frames.
• Dispense completed glasses to patients.
• Cut, edge, and create prescription lenses to ensure customers receive their glasses in a timely manner.
• Take glasses to the retail floor for dispensing to receiving patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience working in the optical industry is preferred
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours per day per scheduled shift)
