Optical Gas Imaging Technician
Position Summary
Alliance Technical Group is hiring an Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) Technician to join our growing team! The OGI team performs inspections on various types of facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry to identify and quantify gas leaks and vents. This role offers valuable work experience and the chance to travel to various customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Optical Gas Imaging surveys in oil and gas production environments using FLIR or similar thermal imaging equipment (training provided)
- Assist with emissions testing and related environmental monitoring tasks
- Operate and maintain field equipment and instrumentation
- Document findings and follow standard reporting procedures
- Adhere to safety protocols and client-specific site requirements
- Travel extensively to sites across the country, often in rural locations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate data collection and client satisfaction
Required
- Willingness and ability to travel weekly
- High mobility and flexibility to work in remote or rural areas
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Optical Gas Imaging cameras
- Familiarity with oil and gas production equipment
- Background in oilfield maintenance mechanics or operations
- Experience working with tanks, batteries, compressor stations, or gas plants
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Pay
The pay range for this entry-level role is $25-$30 per hour. Locations: Texas, California, Tennessee, Georgia, Illinois, South Carolina, Wyoming, Louisiana, Kansas, Colorado, Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, Delaware, Indiana, Florida
