Optical Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of testing functions on various platforms.
• Reviews and follows prescribed Test Procedures.
• Completes documentation requirements, such as data collection sheets.
• Identifies failure trends and conducts further detailed analysis.
• Sets up and operates equipment and machines necessary for servicing, diagnosing, and calibrating optical assemblies.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Strong math skills essential.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear documentation of inspection results.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering or related field.
• Basic understanding of optical instruments, calibration, and handling lenses.
• Working knowledge of optical theory and principles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented work instructions.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear documentation of inspection results.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
