Morpho is a leading Decentralized Finance (DeFi) lending protocol backed by a16z crypto, Paradigm, Ribbit Capital, Apollo, Vaneck, Coinbase Ventures, Variant, and 50+ others. We are building an open credit network to give anyone, anywhere, access to the best possible terms. With over a billion in deposits and adoption by institutional clients like Bitwise, Galaxy, Anchorage Digital, and major exchanges such as Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken, Morpho is scaling its team to establish itself as the global open credit network.

Morpho exists to solve fragmentation in capital access. Today’s system fails most people: borrowers overpay, lenders earn less, and many are excluded not because they lack creditworthiness, but because the infrastructure was never built to connect them. Read more.

About the role

As Morpho grows, we aim to keep operations simple by empowering managers and team members with tools for autonomous, effective decision-making—without building a large HR function. You will help build the People infrastructure that makes this possible. This is a high-ownership role at the intersection of People, operations, and product thinking. You will own People products end-to-end: identifying pain points, designing solutions, rolling them out, and iterating based on feedback. Projects may include streamlining onboarding across teams and geographies, improving compensation management, People data, or internal tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own People products and projects from problem identification to rollout and iteration
  • Speak regularly with managers and ICs to understand recurring friction and gaps in People infrastructure
  • Turn recurring questions and manual work into clearer tools, better workflows, or automation
  • Improve onboarding so new joiners, managers, and other owners know what to do without constant coordination from People
  • Enhance performance, feedback, promotion, and career processes as Morpho scales
  • Build and maintain compensation infrastructure: market data, principles, and decision tools to help managers and leadership make informed decisions
  • Make People information easy to find, understand, and use
  • Use AI and automation to reduce repetitive work or improve user experience
  • Support sensitive People situations requiring judgment, trust, or independence
  • Tackle new People infrastructure problems where they can create the most leverage across the organization

What Success Looks Like

  • First 30 days: Understand Morpho’s operations and the People team’s workflow. Speak with managers and ICs about key friction points, run initial People projects, and identify areas where infrastructure creates unnecessary manual work or dependency.
  • First 3 months: Own several People products end-to-end and iterate based on user feedback. Examples: Onboarding requires minimal coordination from People; common questions are easier to answer without manual requests; at least one recurring friction point has been turned into a better tool, workflow, or automation.
  • First 6 months: Managers and ICs operate more autonomously due to the People infrastructure you built. Your products are simple, trusted, and easy to use. Recurring manual work has decreased. You’ve shipped meaningful improvements across areas like onboarding, performance, compensation, career development, or manager tooling.

Requirements

  • Experience in general operations (e.g., Chief of Staff, Ops Manager), People Operations, or as a leader who has owned People topics directly
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills; comfortable with numbers
  • Proven track record of earning trust and managing stakeholders across an organization, including senior leadership
  • Tech-savvy: proactive with new tools, AI, and automation
  • Reasons from first principles and handles exceptions with logic rather than personal discretion
  • Values simplicity and eliminates unnecessary process
  • Understands and upholds strong culture without reinventing it
  • Resilient to feedback, especially on topics where everyone has an opinion
  • Strong ownership and autonomy; low ego

Benefits

  • Top-tier compensation
  • Real flexibility in work arrangements
  • Team gatherings in Paris
  • Comprehensive health coverage
  • Support for continuous learning and growth
