Responsibilities
- Execute assigned maintenance work: Work with the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to get assigned work orders
- Understand the technical requirements, standards, and procedures to be used
- Confirm and obtain all parts, materials, and tools for the required job
- Complete all assigned tasks to precision maintenance standards
- Update the work order as appropriate
- Enter follow-up work orders: Upon completion of the maintenance work, and from regular inspection rounds, enter any findings into the work order system for future follow-up
- Contractor oversight: Review and contribute to contracted work job plans, Provide support to contracted work groups, Ensure safe and complete work execution by contracted work groups via collaboration with contracted work group supervision
- Support Maintenance Planning: Assist in the development of standard job tasks: Identify tasking, resources and materials required to complete the job task, Communicate with the Planner on all findings, Assist in the investigation and mitigation of failure events through the Root Cause Failure Analysis process, Identify failure modes and plausible root cause failures
About the Role
A minimum of 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Skilled in installing, inspecting, and repairing equipment in heavy manufacturing
Pumps, gearboxes, driveshafts, cylinders, valves, conveyor systems, etc.
Lubrication, torque, assembly, rigging/lifting, cutting/welding, etc.
Ability to read mechanical prints/drawings, manuals, and diagrams
Experience in precision maintenance, including dial indicator alignment is preferred
Knowledge and experience in machining and metal fabrication is preferred
A technical diploma / certification is preferred
Experience in the paper industry is preferred
