About the role

A Comprehensive Ophthalmologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with glaucoma, performing comprehensive eye exams, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patients' progress.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients with glaucoma
• Perform comprehensive eye exams including measuring eye pressure, examining the optic nerve, and testing visual fields
• Develop and implement treatment plans which may include medication, laser therapy, or surgery
• Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with other eye care professionals

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Completion of an ophthalmology residency program
• Fellowship training in glaucoma
• Board certification in ophthalmology and glaucoma
• Valid medical license in the state of California
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
