Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic testing for patients with glaucoma.
- Develop individualized treatment plans including medical, laser, and surgical interventions.
- Perform glaucoma surgeries such as trabeculectomy, tube shunt implantation, minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), and other advanced procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay current with advancements in glaucoma treatment and surgical techniques through continuing education and professional development.
- Educate patients and their families about glaucoma management and preventive care.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
- Fellowship training in Glaucoma surgery preferred.
- Valid medical license to practice in Texas PREFERRED
- Proven experience performing a wide range of glaucoma surgical procedures.
- Strong clinical and surgical skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
