Ophthalmology Physician

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic testing for patients with glaucoma.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans including medical, laser, and surgical interventions.
  • Perform glaucoma surgeries such as trabeculectomy, tube shunt implantation, minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), and other advanced procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in glaucoma treatment and surgical techniques through continuing education and professional development.
  • Educate patients and their families about glaucoma management and preventive care.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
  • Fellowship training in Glaucoma surgery preferred.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Texas PREFERRED
  • Proven experience performing a wide range of glaucoma surgical procedures.
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
