Ophthalmology Physician
About the role
This facility is seeking an Ophthalmology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need. Start date: ASAP. Available shifts: 10. Facility located in Danville, a charming town with bed and breakfasts, parks, hiking trails along the Susquehanna River, scenic trails, historic downtown shops and restaurants. Nearby hospitals include Geisinger Medical Center, Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, Evangelical Community Hospital, Select Specialty Hospital-Danville, and Danville State Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive retina and ophthalmology care in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Diagnose and treat ocular and visual disorders.
- Manage retinal disease.
- Perform diagnostic testing.
- Deliver medical and surgical eye care.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association (AHA).
- Active Pennsylvania medical license.
- Board Certified.
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days.
- Experience with Epic EMR.

Pay
$182.36 - $197.40 per hour (locum tenens rate).
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM; flexible hours if needed. Includes scheduled clinical hours plus call.
