Ophthalmology Billing & Coding Specialist

Responsibilities

• Submit and follow up on insurance claims
• Code encounters using ophthalmic CPT and E&M guidelines
• Work denials, appeals, and accounts receivable
• Cook with payer and the clinical team on reimbursement

Qualifications

• Experience in ophthalmology or optometry billing and coding strongly preferred
• Knowledge of CPT, E&M, and payer rules
• Coding certification (e.g., CPC) a plus
• Detail-oriented and organized
