Job Duties
- Provide services as an Ophthalmology, Cornea Specialist, comprising of comprehensive clinics and surgery days.
- Participate in the didactic teaching program including supervising medical students and residents.
- Participate in the shared rotation of call coverage, inpatient consults and JayDoc clinics.
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with patients as monitored by the hospital's patient experience survey.
- Serve on departmental committees and provide other service to the School of Medicine and the University as needed.
- Participate in clinical research and scientific presentations at national/regional meetings as appropriate with academic track.
- Provide clinical and surgical services to the VA and/or other sites under Professional Services Agreement with The University of Kansas Health System
Qualifications
- Medical Doctorate or equivalent degree, board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology and successful completion of a surgical Cornea fellowship.
- Licensed in the State of Kansas of eligible for licensure in Kansas.
