VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital & Referral Center is seeking an Ophthalmologist to join their team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The hospital offers both specialty and primary care services, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced medical care to patients with eye conditions
• Collaborate with a cohesive team of veterinarians and support staff
• Prioritize patient care and associate well-being and retention
• Teach and mentor new veterinarians through a rotating internship program

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in New Mexico
• Experience in ophthalmic medicine and surgery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of ophthalmic diseases and treatments
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passionate about teaching and mentoring

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $200,000 - $300,000.
