About the Role

A private ophthalmology practice in Old Bridge, New Jersey is seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Ophthalmologist to join its high-volume, surgery-focused practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a surgically oriented ophthalmologist interested in cataract and refractive procedures, advanced technology, and continued surgical development.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ophthalmic evaluations and treatment
• Perform cataract and refractive surgical procedures
• Evaluate patients for premium IOL and advanced refractive procedures
• Manage preoperative and postoperative patient care
• Perform high-quality cataract surgeries in a high-volume setting
• Utilize advanced surgical technology and ophthalmic equipment
• Educate patients regarding treatment options, procedures, and expected outcomes
• Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate care with clinical support staff
• Deliver patient-centered care while maintaining high surgical standards

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an Ophthalmology residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
• Active New Jersey medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Strong cataract surgical skills
• Demonstrated interest in cataract and refractive surgery
• Refractive or cataract fellowship training is preferred but not required
• New graduates may be considered if they demonstrate excellent surgical ability
• Comfortable working in a high-volume surgical practice
• Strong communication and patient-care skills

Schedule

• 20-40 hours per week
• Full-Time or Part-Time options available
