About the role

Join a multi-service line practice in a lively Long Island community. Practice Skilled team of 14 ophthalmologists, 1 optometrist, skilled administrators, scribes, technicians and surgical coordinators. Services include Retina, Cornea, Cataracts, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics, LASIK, Dry Eye, Diabetic Eye Care and Primary Care Vision. See patients 40 hours a week, inclusive of surgical time. Full technician and scribe support, which adjusts based on volume.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams and diagnose and treat various ocular conditions
  • Conduct surgeries such as cataract, corneal transplant, glaucoma, and LASIK
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, administrators, scribes, technicians, and surgical coordinators
  • Provide patient education and counseling on eye health and treatment options
  • Mentor available to support growth in surgery and specialty

Requirements

  • Trained, licensed, board certified/eligible Anterior Segment (Cornea preferred) Ophthalmologist
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience
  • Current New York State Medical License
  • Passing score on the Medical Board Examination

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay

$300,000 - $400,000 base salary, plus productivity bonuses and other financial incentives

Schedule

Full-time schedule, 40 hours per week, inclusive of surgical time
