Ophthalmic Technician - Willing to train

Responsibilities
- Assist providers in performing clinical functions such as ophthalmic procedures, room flow, and status communication to the patient and provider
- Ensure the patient understands all instructions
- Take and document patients' medical histories
- Operate ophthalmic equipment
- Sterilize instruments and maintain ophthalmic instruments or equipment
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Problem-solving math skills
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite or G-Suite
- Effectively work in a team environment
- Demonstrated multitasking and adaptability
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with communication via phone, internet, and in-person
- Ability to maintain and follow HIPAA procedures and policies
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year experience as an ophthalmic assistant preferred
