Under supervision, the Ophthalmic Assistant works with Ophthalmologists to provide patient care in a clean, well-lit office setting.
Responsibilities
- Preparing patients for exams and procedures
- Performing ophthalmic exams and tests
- Administering medications and treatments
- Assisting with ophthalmic procedures
- Educating patients about eye care and treatments
- Maintaining patient records
- Monitoring patients during and after procedures
- Maintaining and calibrating ophthalmic equipment
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (required)
- 0 years of experience required
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience (preferred)
- Ophthalmic competencies (preferred):
- Fundus photography
- Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT)
- Automated and Manual Biometry
- Corneal Topography and Tomography
- Automated Visual Field testing
- Specular Microscopy
- Fluorescein and ICG angiography
- Ophthalmic Ultrasound/UBM testing
Pay
$21.96 - $32.01 per hour
Schedule
- Primary Shift: Day
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
