About the role
Retina Care Specialist of Florida offers state-of-the-art vitreoretinal care. All physicians have trained at the most renowned and respected retina and ophthalmology programs in the world. This practice provides various diagnostic procedures and focuses on disorders of the eye.
We are hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to support a high-volume ophthalmic practice that emphasizes quality and compassionate care for each patient needing complete eye care services. This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient history
- Determine visual acuity
- Perform automated refraction
- Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician
- Perform office duties and clinical tasks, including entering data into EMR
- Provide patient services
- Maintain equipment and instruments
Requirements
- Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as needed
- Flexibility to travel to various locations
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to seek instruction in areas where knowledge is lacking
- Ability to recognize inconsistencies
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited high school
