About the role

Park Nicollet is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join their Eye Care team. This position is available as a Partner for Good, aiming to enhance patient care and experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for ophthalmic tests, evaluations, treatments, or educational sessions, ensuring quality patient services.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety protocols and standards.
  • Collaborates with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely patient information is provided.
  • Monitors patient comfort and provides emotional support during procedures.
  • Adheres to infection control guidelines and maintains a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Licensure/Registration/Certification: Successfully completed certification as an Ophthalmic Technician by JCAHPO after required work hours and credits earned at COA level, or 1 year from date of employment to complete certification after completing an accredited technician program.
  • Ongoing certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles.
  • Strong human relations and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Ophthalmic Technician program.
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The full-time position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
