About the Role

Dever’s Eye Institute, part of Legacy Health, is seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Technician to join a team of over 100, including 22 physicians and two endowed chairs. This position is located on the Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center campus. Devers is known internationally for treatment and research in diseases of the Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma, and Neuro-Ophthalmology. The institute trains fellows and residents and provides extensive services in Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Ocular Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Contact Lens and Vision Rehabilitation. Devers is supported by world-renowned scientists researching ophthalmic diseases and is internationally recognized in glaucoma, corneal transplantation, uveitis, and the epidemiology of ocular diseases. The institute actively participates in clinical trials related to retinal disease, glaucoma, and corneal disease.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced technical ophthalmic patient screening, testing, and assist in ophthalmic procedures and lasers.
  • Conduct a variety of diagnostic tests to support patient care, including specialized tests and visual fields.
  • Travel between office locations as required.

Requirements

  • Two years of clinical experience conducting preliminary screening/vision testing, including specialized tests and visual fields.
  • COA, COT, or COMT certification through JCAHPO (Joint Commission on Allied Health Professionals in Ophthalmology).
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.

Pay

USD $28.47 - USD $40.71 per hour.
