Responsibilities
- Auxiliary in the care of patients by performing portions of the patient exam and a variety of preliminary tests as directed by physician orders.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all procedures, contributing to exceptional patient outcomes.
- Interact directly with patients, making their experience comfortable and informative.
- Provide valuable insights to physicians through your work, enhancing the vision and overall well-being of our patients.
- Be an integral part of a dedicated team that prioritizes empathy and professionalism in healthcare.
Requirements
- A high school diploma is a must.
- Commitment to achieve Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification within one year of joining the team.
- Proficiency in the safe and efficient use of medical and office equipment.
- The ability to foster positive working relationships with both physicians and staff.
- Thrive in a fast-paced medical environment while adhering to HIPAA compliance regulations.
- Strong computer software skills, along with typing proficiency, to manage patient information effectively.
- A solid understanding of medical terminology and basic eye anatomy.
- Knowledge of examination equipment operation and maintenance.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently.

Pay
Competitive salary based on experience.
Schedule
Hours of work will be dependent on the needs of the Clinic. Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting (30 pounds), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs is required.
Work Conditions
- Eye Clinic of Wisconsin has eight locations; while staff will be assigned to a "home" location; travel to satellites is a requirement of the position.
