About the role
The Operational Excellence Training Lead is a key department position that contributes to the achievement of the company's objectives by making sure that employees get the right training to succeed, helping the company grow through learning and development. This role is responsible for supporting company initiatives and EPIC values in the areas of safety, employee engagement, employee retention, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Supporting company initiatives and EPIC values in areas such as safety, employee engagement, employee retention, and continuous improvement.
- Planning, creating, and deploying training programs that help employees develop the knowledge and skills they need for their jobs.
- Working closely with different teams and leaders to determine what training is needed, design relevant programs, schedule and organize training sessions, and ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Performing minor content updates and working with the Instructional Designer/Developer for more extensive revisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Training, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in training and development, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and theories.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Knowledge of industry best practices in training and development.
