About the role
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, and the union bidding process applies. Union posting guidelines outlined in the current collective bargaining agreement will be applied prior to considering external candidates.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the pipeline and its supporting operational and monitoring equipment in compliance with regulations, company work practices, and safety standards.
- Ensure the reliability of equipment, and accurate measurement and quality of product transported through the system.
- Develop a positive working relationship with carriers.
- Maintain and operate equipment including: mainline operations, transferring product to storage vessels; making valve lineups, operating refined product pumps; performing product sampling, running samples for analysis on in house lab equipment; measurement of location physical stock, meters, and additive variances.
- Input information into computer programs and perform daily facility inspections.
- Afford assistance to drivers and customers, perform truck rack operations duties.
- Assist technicians with maintenance duties and perform general maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor.
- Participate on the facility emergency response team.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including System Integrity Plan (SIP) and OQ requirements and implement them into location work practices.
- Attend and actively participate in safety training meetings.
- Perform any other tasks that may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: H.S. Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's Degree in Petroleum Tech or related field preferred.
- Experience: Three years' experience in a related field preferred.
