Operator (Tuber Catcher) I - Night Shift 12 Hours (7pm - 7am)

About the role

This position is responsible for operating up to three tuber extruder machines, including troubleshooting, raw material documentation, and ensuring the quality of the material produced.

Responsibilities

• Install proper tooling, load, run, and monitor the tuber extruder with minimum downtime.
• Create preforms from resin as specified on the order card.
• Measure and maintain the correct wall thickness of tubing being sent to the catching area.
• Operate 2–3 machines simultaneously.
• Maintain tooling and machines in good working condition.
• Polish and straighten tooling on a lathe.
• Keep the work area clean and free of debris.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain good communications within the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and adapt to different situations.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.; push/pull approximately 11 lbs.; and walk up and down stairs.
• Capable of performing inspection functions such as visual inspection to detect cosmetic defects and color differentiation of products.
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; any unscheduled absence or tardiness will negatively impact production objectives.
