Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment to temper, anneal, or heat-treat aluminum
• Read production schedules to determine which coils need to be picked up via crane next
• Understand tub utilization and maintain tub inventory levels
• Build scrap loads each day and turn all loads in before cutting off time
• Measure cold band coils following the methods laid out in the SWI
• Use Invex and Prodin daily to complete tasks in every area
• Constantly update and monitor the incoming cold band schedule for receiving, including communicating with CMS logistics
• Communicate with CBG logistics
• Perform checklist verification in receiving per shift
• Understand, update, and monitor the shipping load tracker
• Use escalation procedures in shipping, receiving, and utilities
• Uphold 5s standards in all areas under "Flow"
• Keep track of truck drivers, ensuring they are following all rules
• Perform coil storage inventory weekly and make corrections when needed
• Repair, replace, and maintain equipment using hand tools
• Consistently follow safe working procedures

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• East & West crane certified
• Forklift certified

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform manual work in an environment with temperatures up to 110 degrees
• Ability to bend at the back and knees
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to walk up and down stairs
• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per shift
• Ability to walk for up to 12 hours per shift
• Ability to lift hands above head
